School clinics

Inclusive golf for your whole class, at your school, with every student taking part together. Works as PE, after-school, or a one-day introduction.

How a clinic works

We come to you. A clinic runs in your gym or on your field with equipment that's safe indoors: soft practice balls, lightweight clubs, and targets that make the game obvious to a kid who has never seen golf. Students rotate through stations for putting, chipping, and full swings, so everyone is moving and nobody is waiting in a long line.

Students with disabilities play alongside their classmates in the same stations, with the equipment and technique adapted as needed. That's the point: one game, every kid.

Formats

  • PE unit: a series of sessions over two to six weeks, one class period each
  • After-school program: weekly sessions for a sign-up group
  • Intro day: a single visit that gives every class a taste of the game
  • Championship day: a fun end-of-unit competition with awards for every student

Group sizes and staffing

Groups of one to five work directly with Mike. For six to ten or more, additional instructors join so the ratio stays small. Teachers and aides stay with their students throughout, and we're happy to brief them beforehand on how the stations run.

Who it's for

Elementary and middle school is the sweet spot. Students at this age haven't picked up bad habits, they learn quickly, and golf is a sport they can play for the rest of their lives. Special education classes, inclusion classrooms, and general PE are all a fit.

What we need from the school

  • A gym, multipurpose room, or field
  • Grade levels, class sizes, and the number of sessions you'd like
  • Any students who'll need adapted equipment, so we bring the right gear
  • Dates that could work. Clinics book up in spring and fall.
