Accessibility isn't a page on our site. It's the whole reason Adapt2Golf exists. Here is what that means in practice.
At lessons and clinics
Instruction is adapted to each person's body, equipment, and learning style, not the other way around.
Adapted clubs, gripping aids, and standing golf carts for wheelchair users are provided at no extra cost.
Lessons can be taught from a seated position, with one arm, with a prosthetic, or with whatever works for you.
Caregivers, aides, interpreters, and family members are welcome at every lesson and event.
Mike adjusts how he explains things for visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners, and for students with cognitive or developmental disabilities.
We choose ranges and courses with accessible parking, paths, and restrooms, and we'll tell you ahead of time what to expect at a venue.
School clinics run in gyms and on fields, with no transportation needed.
On this website
Text and background colors are chosen for strong contrast.
Everything works with a keyboard, and focused elements are clearly outlined.
Images carry text descriptions for screen readers; decorative images are skipped.
The booking form has labeled fields and announces errors and confirmations.
Animation is turned off for visitors who have "reduce motion" set on their device.
The site works on phones and with browser zoom up to 200%.
Tell us what we missed
If something at a lesson, at an event, or on this site doesn't work for you, tell Mike directly. Call or text (847) 708-7833 or email mikesamson65@yahoo.com. We'll fix what we can and find a workaround for the rest.
